My co-worker is obsessed with bats. I don't know exactly when it happened, but wow: they fell hard.

Likening customer service to purgatory is extreme but it feels like it some days so I'm working with the melodrama. For many reasons, I'm in a much better situation than most. My barber recently moved premises, set up on his own, and I found something genuinely compelling about that. The ability, as a professional, to essentially pick up your tools, find a new chair, and keep going. The skill is his. The relationship with his clients is his.
