No Man’s Sky turns ten years old tomorrow. I will not review the cycle of hype, disappointment, then eventual revival around the game. I’ve been there a few times before. It is enough for this moment to say that game is very different than it was back at launch in 2016.

Immersion is extremely important to me as a story-focused player in FFXIV. And while I generally enjoy the story beats of the game (ignoring some of the lesser engaging stuff in Dawntrail), I do have one small issue with how FFXIV handles the main character of the MSQ… because if you aren’t playing a Warrior of Light (WoL), then things just don’t mesh well.

Today I learned about hybrid MBR/GUID partition tables, where the GPT (not that kind) on a disk is duplicated in an MBR table for compatibility purposes.
