I learned quite recently that August 8[1] is HTML Day, a celebration of HTML that includes actual meetups! It almost feels like a silly thing to celebrate when I think back to my teenage self building fan sites in notepad.exe, but in reality it's quite impowering to be able to craft something with one's own (digital) hands. Mists of Pandaria got laughed at before anyone had played a minute of it. Kung fu pandas. No Man’s Sky turns ten years old tomorrow. I will not review the cycle of hype, disappointment, then eventual revival around the game. I’ve been there a few times before. It is enough for this moment to say that game is very different than it was back at launch in 2016.

Immersion is extremely important to me as a story-focused player in FFXIV. This year I wanted to flesh out my reference book collection a little bit when it comes to art. I have a few books, but I’d like to get a few more on anatomy, and colour theory.
