Malvaltar mentioned in the comments the other day that the inaccessible part of the city of Hethereau, to the east of the river, had been redeveloped. It's a large area, easily as big as any of the existing districts, and it's been there since the game started but we've never been able to go there.

At the beginning of the year I wrote ideas for 2026 and updated with progress on 2026 in March. Then again halfway through the year. The beginning of September does not seem like the obvious next check-in. But I slow down dramatically in the autumn and winter. Also, it's my birthday so that feels like a natural time. They replace some of the default apps with their own, add microG for compatibility, and offer a set of cloud services (which I haven’t tried yet) to fill in for Google’s sync capabilities. Today, Ars Technica posted an article with a header image featuring a keyboard modified to add an “Ars Subscribe” button. But the keyboard looked weird: the visible keys looked like this:

It's the last day of Blaugust! I enjoyed it for the most part and got some fun posts out of it, like my favorite screenshots and my top 10 game developers. Will I do it again next year? I think so! It's fun to participate, to see other blogs, and to come up with topics I might not otherwise. Went out with colleagues after work. So far, every outing with them has been hiking up buildings to buy drinks on rooftops.
Walked through Gothenburg's summer festival on its first day & thought to drop by again over the weekend. But the rain kept me away. I have yet to shed my Angeleno ways.

I offered to put together the video for the final group project of the semester. For whatever reason Panopto was not allowing me to download the file so I can add it to the others. Anyway today is the last day to turn it in so I went searching for another way.

We’re on holiday camping in the Lake District. I’d set my mind on riding the Fred Whitton Challenge (FWC) route while we’re here. I’ve not been feeling great this month though.
