The first week back at work.
Happenings
So yeah, I started up back at work for the new school year. All the usual stuff to deal with. Updates to government policies to read. Leadership imploring all staff to do better. Chronic pain flares up with the stress. Still, I’m in a different classroom this year and it’s better than expected. My previous classroom had years (like, 10 years) of junk built up in old filing cabinets I never did get around to sorting out, so it was nice to come in to a relat…

Once upon a Blaugust, I hatched a plan to fill out the extra days by posting about my badges (Or buttons. Or pins. Whatever your local vernacular calls them.) At the time, I'd just found a plastic bagful and it seemed like something I might be able to spin up into a mini-series.

Despite how much I share about my life and hobbies on this site, I constantly wrestle with the question of is what I’m sharing too personal? Is there “pleasure”…

It was hot and sticky, as predicted. It wouldn't have been any better the following day, we determined after living through today. The rain stayed away until the very last minute and we were able to chuck some things under the canopy and no damage was done to anything.
I'd say about 30 people came, including about 6 of Jocelyn's friends. There was some sailing, but no power boating. It was not a good waterski day, because it was kind of windy. Tubing could have been had, but all my friends are g…

I sit in my apartment. Thankfully healthy, back on a high fruit diet. Vegetarian for years, strict and proactive with it now. Back to bald hippy-dom (tho not totally bald).
Oldschool punk playlists being procured. Blogging. A stronger SDF presence.
Fitter. Happier.
