Thinking about music ahead of the music memories blog carnival and I need to exorcise these ear worms that are plaguing me.

Prettier is a JavaScript-based formatter that I use for this very site’s codebase, since it is quite extensible and can handle a wide variety of formats. I recently noticed a specific quirk with it where you need to specifically pre-format JSX in a certain way to get a specific output from it. With this source document and no formatting configured:

Working throught some organizational stuff in JIRA at work. The level of nested items with Inititatives containing Epics and them containing Stories can be a little difficult to know the state of things. I have some ideas on how to flatten the reporting.

The big finale of Fogden Game takes place in some kind of derelict coliseum. At one end there's the Fog Coffin and in front of it stands Inanna, flanked by Zankou and Poinsette. At the other, there's everyone else.

Do you ever feel like you’re paying for a subscription but don’t end up using it as much as you thought? For instance, I paused my Netflix subscription after having it for a few months. This week was the lead up to and start of our road trip. I enjoy road trips a lot. Driving through Oregon and Northern California is a delight. It’s. been just about 7 years since I’e moved here from Connecticut and I will never stop being awed by the natural beauty it has: volcanic mountains, misty rainy forests, the powerful forces of coast, and the starkness of the high desert.

I haven’t really written in quite some time, for a variety of reasons, but I wanted to push myself to start again this month. I din’t have a goal, at least not one that I said (or wrote) out loud. It's already 4 weeks since the end of this year's edition of Nowe Horyzonty film festival in Wrocław, and I'm finally ready to post some recap of what I saw.

I read a post recently with a prompt like “What is a game you think about fondly every so often?” Honestly, the prompt was better than that but you get the idea. Pretty much everything lacking in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine is present in this second attempt at a solo film for the character: It features other mutants but doesn’t lose focus of the main character, it has a plot that turns in more than one direction, and is actually interested in exploring a new faucet of the character. And yet, despite all this, it’s not even that much better, it’s just bad for different reasons.
