The first week back at work.
Happenings
So yeah, I started up back at work for the new school year. All the usual stuff to deal with. Updates to government policies to read. Leadership imploring all staff to do better. We had a round of thunderstorms go through last night, and this morning is quite lovely, as the humidity has been reduced significantly. Looks like the weekend ahead is forecasted for very nice weather.
Yesterday was Colonoscopy Day. DW brought me to the hospital at 6:50 AM. The entire procedure about 3.5 hours. We were home by 10:30 AM. The doctor removed two polyps. Things look good.

Today is the day I got a second chance when the surgeon—this time last year—removed a foot of colon in order to exorcise a small cancerous growth.
I am eternally thankful to be one of the lucky ones. Things could have gone oh so differently if they hadn’t caught this early enough.
One year on, I feel more positive and healthy than I have been in the last four years. And, as a result of this surgery, and everything I went through, I now have a future again.

A cyst in my right ovary burst. It's one of the most painful things I've ever experienced. I silently cried all four hours1 waiting in the hospital. When I finally saw the gynecologist, I explained my pain, and my MIL stepped in and said, "She's hurting a lot more than she looks."

My treatment starts on the 28th and it looks like the first dose will take 6+ hours. At a hospital 2 hours away. Lovely. In the days preceding that, I will be at the same hospital getting a PICC line inserted. If anyone is interested in learning/seeing them let me know.

My wife has insisted for some time now that my hearing sucks. Meanwhile, I think she’s a bit of a low talker.
