Hey There! It's 8:36 AM EDT, 72°F, Humidity 88%, Wind 6 mph S, sunny We had a round of thunderstorms go through last night, and this morning is quite lovely, as the humidity has been reduced significantly. Looks like the weekend ahead is forecasted for very nice weather. Yesterday was Colonoscopy Day. DW brought me to the hospital at 6:50 AM. The entire procedure about 3.5 hours. We were home by 10:30 AM. The doctor removed two polyps. Things look good. It did take me some time to release the air and gas pressure that had built up, so I spent the first couple of hours home feeling bloated and cramped from all the air they used to open the colon up. It took a couple more hours to get rid of that air, and then once the pressure was reduced I slept for about two hours or so. I managed to schedule my third interview for my first podcast of the season before falling asleep. When I woke up, there was really nothing for me to do, and I felt fatigued anyway. So I spent the afternoon watching YouTube videos to pass the time until dinner was ready. We had a hamburger casserole with rice and mushrooms, along with an ear of sweet corn and a side salad. It was the first real meal I had since Monday. I thought there was going to be too much food, but I ate everything in front of me. I did not go back for seconds on the casserole, but there's plenty left for lunch or another dinner. Once again, I spent the evening on YouTube. I spent a lot of time on one specific channel - Nomads Nation. It is a channel that does reviews of travel bags. Honestly, I don't know why this is, but I love backpacks and bags. I love searching for a new backpack or just the right airline carryon. This last trip to Illinois I tried out my new clamshell travel backpack, and it worked out OK. I love an inexpensive but durable bag with a lot of pockets. So spending time on Nomad Nations with the host/reviewer Aaron (who is quite entertaining) was fun and interesting. I don't think I will be buying another bag anytime soon, but looking at all the styles and prices and designs really intrigues me. I think it gets down to the fact that I wish I was traveling more, and looking at travel bags sort of scratches that itch just a bit. I finally got up and cleaned the kitchen, even though I really didn't have energy to do so, and went to bed about 11:10 PM.
