I'm not very good at taking time off. Even when I'm not working, I end up working. Part of that is being self-employed - the pressure always seems to be there - but another part is just poor discipline on my part.
This week, my son and I are home with the dog while my wife and our younger offspring are in Manchester for a music camp. Here's what we did:

Recently a person I'm following on Mastodon posted a picture of two cats. It was cute and kind of funny. I saw it, chuckled and forgot about it.
But then someone replied that they ran the picture through an AI checker and according to this the picture was very likely AI generated.
So the original poster apologised for not checking whether or not the picture was AI generated slop and to make up for their blunder, posted a different cat picture that wasn't AI generated (hopefully).

At the end of July I went on holiday to Portmadog, Wales, staying at a caravan park with some family and my son. The Vibe
July has felt fairly momentous.
