This past weekend was my birthday. My partner and I celebrated by camping at Cape Lookout on the Oregon coast. We had dinner at Willy’s in Oceanside. Run by a husband and wife team they serve Japanese comfort food in a beach town nestled on a cliffside.

Our new apartment is a whole lot of white. The prior homeowners made bland design choices: white walls, white cabinets, white tiles, white counters, white knobs, white everything. Like a sterile hospital room. E said it'll look better once it's filled with our things, but I can't imagine it.

I don't know if you're familiar with Storyworth, but it's a site dedicated to capturing your loved one's memories and keeping them in a book. Two weeks after saying goodbye, we finally brought Cocoa home today.
