I haven't been inspired to post on august morning for quite some time now, even though I have a bit of a backlog of photos I would like to share one day1. I don't know if you're familiar with Storyworth, but it's a site dedicated to capturing your loved one's memories and keeping them in a book. A year ago, my wife "gave" me a year subscription to the site (part-time job) for my birthday and said "DO IT!" I'm like, but what about my stack of journals and blogs?

Well, 9:30pm on the water to be exact but it started getting dark and even with my torch I didn’t want to risk going down a hole. I didn’t get any night time pictures, but I did get an okay sunset.
This was a little earlier, facing east, where I saw the clouds over the mountains that I thought might give way to some rain later in the night. Very dramatic and forboding.

I'm munching on shrimp chips as I write this. Both sushi restaurants I've been to serve these, while none of the ones I went to in LA did. This puffy variant doesn't read as Japanese to me, but I suppose when the menu lists pho and panang curry alongside its sushi and sashimi, there really aren't any boundaries.

This past week, we found ourselves back at Heidrun Meadery.
