It’s already August and I can’t help but think about how much of the year pain has whittled away from me. With the addition of the burn wound I’m struggling to do anything but I did manage a little. Wednesday - An Ultrasound of my Liver This was one of the few tests I had not already done at some point, so it was quite interesting. Mostly it was the usual turning, holding my breath and having a slimy scope pressed into my flesh but there was one point of difference: at one point they had me lying “like a banana” to open up my ribs. Then the scope would pulsate, like someone was trying to tap on my ribs. Not painful, just strange. The technicians obviously can’t say much about the results, but they did tell me my liver didn’t look “too scarred” so I count that as a win! Friday - Admin day Lots of ringing around and emailing secured me my next two weeks of pain patch. I’m so tempted to just tear the annoying thing off and grit my teeth but I shouldn’t be on it much longer anyway. I hope. Gaming Still playing Tomodachi Life, albeit for 10 minutes or so every day. Still too goopy to progress in Rhythm Heaven. I played a whole bunch of Splatoon Raiders yesterday, to the point that my burn wound decided to just start bleeding everywhere. Oops! Worth it though. And I finally installed Dragons Dogma Online. I signed up on the Dogma Rising server and I’m barely past character creation but I hope I can play some more in the coming weeks and share my impressions here. Anime Got caught up on Mushoku Tensei. It’s one of the few isekai I like since it’s not just an escapist fantasy. I really need to find more fantasy anime to watch while I wait for more Dunmeshi and Witch Hat Atelier. I wonder when that Rayearth remake is due to come out… Upcoming I have three days in a row of appointments at the hospital coming up and I am NOT looking forward to it. The drive is nearly two hours and longer still if I’m traveling in peak hour or there’s an accident on the roads. But one of those appointments is with the Rheumatologist so fingers crossed, we’ll start to treat the cGVHD and get me off all these pain meds!
