My last "albums I am enjoying" list was back in Blaugust 2024, so thought it was high time to share another snap shot of what I'm listening to at the moment. However, below I have linked to each albums BandCamp page, since this Friday (7th August 26) is also BandCamp Friday in-case you fancy buying any of these directly from the artist. Sadgirl Mixtape by Grabyourface Marie's album of mournful and moving synths and raw voices is truly wonderful and moving. Tell Me When the World Stops Ending by GUNSHIP A song that I think given the current state of the world we can all get behind. Hexy Time by Simon Carter, Fabsi Had the pleasure of seeing a number of tracks from this album live and it didn't disappoint. Great act and lovely people. 88:88 by Makeup And Vanity Set This MAVS album is still my favourite, the haunting melodies stick in my head. HELLFIRE by Neuroklast Full assault of Neuroklast is cleansing almost. The Incomplete Truth by Randolph & Mortimer Such an enjoyable album. Priority Targets by Phosgore The duo live has soo much energy it can be felt in this album too. In the Name of Blood by SIERRA VEINS Delightful blend of darkwave and synthwave, melancholy and brutality. 3AT TH3 RiCH by DAMAG3 Not my usual fair but been enjoying Damag3's Industrial Hip Hop vibes for a year or so now. If you followed Belghast's blog you likely caught one of his Mixtape posts, I always enjoyed finding out out what tracks were included. Some of which I knew, others I'd never encountered before, and while some aren't to my tastes I'd always take the time to listen as the tracks meant a lot when they were selected. I think that's the beauty of music, you don't have to enjoy it yourself to see how it can lift a persons sprits, put a smile on a face as someone sings along. What about you?
