I brainstormed many of my post ideas in advance and I realized there's many of them that have to do with the radio. Here's a little one from when I was a teen. Talking in your Sleep by The Romantics One year for Christmas I asked for a boombox. I got a sleek round white boombox with a built in CD player. It was one of the best gifts I ever received. I would just lounge around and listen to the radio if I had nothing else going on. I actually didn't surf the dial as I had a regular station I liked to listen to. It was very freeing to have my own little space to zone out and relax. On Sundays I would listen to Casey Kasem's countdown show semi regularly. (I thought this was called American Top 20, but the show may have been called Top 40?). I never got to hear who was number one each week (since I had to go to church). This song I remember was a throwback they played during the program one time. It's still a song I hear on the radio sometimes, but I always remember the first time I heard it.
