Real life and it’s ugly head I can’t remember if I mentioned that back in June, Blade was let go from his job due to a charge of sexual harassment, and we’re now fighting to get his unemployment since his previous job has now denied his claims saying he did know the rule he broke, but now they are trying to down play the entire reason for his discharge. Which now constitutes Inappropriate Workplace Conduct, yet when they were submitting their facts as to why they denied the unemployment they began with saying he was discharged for sexual harassment, but since it’s harder to prove with a he said/she said scenario they had to down grade his termination. Then again they are also told him that there was no video evidence when he requested it to be pulled up only to later find out that it was later made available to be seen. So I have sent an email to the Appeals Referee to ask them for said video evidence along with their case file against him. When they submitted their rules for his termination it is only showing for sexual harassment and nothing else. So we’re still filing his weekly claims, but I am digging and preparing his defense so that when his hearing is set he can go in prepared with the right questions to ask, and when to object if need be. I am doing this because I know the kind of guy he is, and I know this girl did this because she wanted to sleep with him, and when he politely turned her down, this was her revenge on him for it. Which makes me shake my head at this whole thing because if it being for something as stupid as he did not want to date anyone because he’s faithful? I’m still just mind boggled at the moment for all of this. Course right now we’re waiting for them to schedule his appeal hearing, so in the meantime we’re still actively job hunting for his next job, plus on the side I’m doing my research on how to help him win his appeal, and when I started digging into everything further he made the suggestion that I should have went into law for the way I can investigate and dig into things many others would never really gloss over. It’s just something I’m sometimes passionate about I wouldn’t do this for just anyone because I’m very skeptical about others, but knowing Blade like I do. I know his character, I know his mannerisms, and I know how much he loves to work. He loves to work in fields that are both back breaking, and very important to him because he can not sit at a desk. He’s always overlooked by the fact he does have learning disabilities, and yet I challenge him and try to help become better at certain things. Especially when it comes to speaking because there are times he can become flustered, and start to talk fast, and I’ve helped him calm down and pronounce all his words carefully and fully so that others can understand him. I have helped him in the past with his reading because it is not that great, same with his writing, and of course spelling. Many seem to think I am trying to change him, and I’m not. Him and I have talked about this in the past, and he welcomes all my help because he knows I am doing this to help him become a better version to himself. One that he can be really proud of because he had help to calm down and speak a little more clear and consistent with others.
